I'll second that! Big an sweet this year too!!!! Last week my mom had enough to make a special batch of jelly for all her grandkids. Good stuff there. I love rasberries, they rank second to blueberries but best fruit locally for me.

I have wild black raspberries and blackberries in several places on my land, the somewhat dry summer was unkind to them, though we did get a few.

I just pick 2 gallons of wild blackberrries. There are thousands of red ones this year. The past couple of years every spring I through some 12-12-12 around them and it really helps. They are the size of the top of my pinkey

I was out patrolling my back lot and stopped and ate a few of those big black berries. They are big but not as good as rasberries. My rasberries didn't fair too well this year.
That is a good tip parrothead. I will try that with my different patches to see if that helps.

HEY FOLKS, it looks like another great year(2010 season) for raspberries. love them in pies and also we put them on ice-cream,ummmmmmmmmmm good... .., also its great to take youngsters out to enjoy the outdoors and you and them will get a treat too!!just be prepared for some bugs at some spots ....at Mounds State Park we have taken as many as 20 kids to enjoy the picking Raspberries....its all fun!......my father took me and my brother at a very young age..(10)..... ......turkey scout

I have tons this year as well and cant get anyone to come pick em! I picked a couple of quarts but wont eat more than that.
If anyone is close to Peru let me know and you can have at em.

They're ready here on the east facing fencerows, the west facing rows will be ripening in a couple more weeks. More than I can pick.

Indeed. I froze 22 pints, sold 19, and used another 4-6 for a camp cobbler. They are dwndling down but should get another pint today in Indy.
