The wheat will be coming out soon. I was wondering if there is any plots we could get going in the field after the wheat is out?

I had great luck on turnips last year. Only planted about a 1/4 acre of them, but they tore it up. I planted in middle of Aug and they mature in about 45 days. I used Shot Plot.

Wheat is getting picked, heck I'd plant beans they'll still produce 20+ bushells per acre and at 15.50/bushell adds up! Plus deer love them! Or I'd wait till Aug/Sept and plant turnips, brassica, rape mixture! Good lucK!

Thanks. The wheat is not cut yet, but I have seen several fields that will go soon. I don't have equipment to do beans, but I may check with the guy farming the property.

For fall food plots use something that will last after the frost and freeze of early winter. While beans are good the will die at the heavy frost or freeze. I would use either turnips and rape mix which is Shot Plot or fall oats and winter wheat mix. Both of these will stay green up until early to mid January. Ive had good success with fall plots using Shot Plot. h.h.

I think Donnie suggested beans as a money-producing crop on the farmer's end....
