I had a couple guys fishing with me today,, we stopped under the 31 bridge in the middle of South Bend today,, and fished the pocket behind the pillar there.. They made a nice shelf that you can fish off of now,, but it takes a boat to get there.. Anyway,, we stopped along the way,, and both sides of the pillar are real fast,, but it makes a NICE eddy behind,, and while we were fishing,,, I found a stick for my little girl to fetch,, and she cant resist a good swim.. We started off with some short fetch's in the eddy,, and then I tossed it out in the CURRENT.. No problem, she was raised a RIVER RAT!!. Funny part was as soon as she hit the current,, we had a OLD LADY up above us on the bridgeyelling at us saying "THAT CURRENT IS TOO FASSSTTTT!!!!"""

Don't you just love people that know nothing, yet think it,s their job to tell you what you are doing wrong? I had a tree hugging ladie yell at my cousin and I as we were wade fishing and catching bedding bluegills. She told us we were breaking the law because the fish were "mating", and was going to call the CO, I told her we would wait where we were while she made the call. She went into the house and never came back. I always hoped she called them and they laughed at her!

She's been called alot worse than that.. Make sure you bring a fishing pole with you,, and some $$ for bait!!! I might know a couple decent spots to try while yer here. ;D ;D ;D |
