With all the rain we've been getting and up stream of us the 'bash is in the back yard again But always looking for lemonaid when given lemons, stepped over the levee after getting home from work and could see gar all over the place. Got the kids, wife and bow and went to work. Missed a few then gave it to my wife, kids and I stepped up the hill to watch for the gar. She missed a few too then we had to run to town. After dinner I ditched her and grabbed the bow, finally got a little weasel of a gar and missed a few more. Hope for a few carp in the next day or two. I don't think the river is ready to go down for a while. Promised my little girl we'd use worms next time though!

an easy way to catch gar is to get some white braided dock line or something similar, tie it to your fishing line, and unravel the end of the braided line. they will get it all tangled up in there teeth.
