I carefully headed this fawn into the tall grass so it wouldn't become roadkill. The doe then called out several yards above me on the hill side, thought everything would work out, wrong. On my way back about 30 min. later a man & his small son had the fawn, the boy was on his knees hugging & rubbing all over it like a dog. I stopped and asked them to leave it alone so the doe would take it. Found out from a friend that they took the fawn home. Just can't understand why people can't let newborn wildlife alone.

you should have and still should call the CO and report them that is breaking the law! poaching at best stealing Indiana's wildlife
