During the uproar over the escaped mountain lion last year DNR personnel revealed that persons in southern Indiana were raising and selling wolf/wolf-hybrids and that some of those animals were thought to have escaped. I wonder if DNA testing could link these animals to that "breeder"?

I had a personal runin w/ critter along the same lines a couple years ago in Orange Co. I'm curious to find out what they have to say about these.

A family down the road from where I used to hunt raised wolf-dogs could hear them howl each morning. It was fun getting a new person hunting with me, I'd tell them to watch out for the wolves. They would laugh then at the end of the hunt they would bring it up!
Worked with the lady while I was in high school and she said they were a pack of wolves and would be a problem if escaped their pen.

That thread is a joke. This problem stems from the same reason why the DNR should ban pen raised deer. Those Mutts are a direct result of dog breeding that should be illegal. Well it at least got those guys thinking they would get extra points for killing a Chow Chow.

All dogs are descended from wolves.
Those dont look like wolves, look more like malamutes or huskies to me.
