Wow, those look good! Really like the Zebrawood, but I've always been partial to it. It really shows the grain.
I can't imagine them sounding better than your other calls. What type of different sound do they make? I guess I need to buy one when I get the extra money and find out for myself.

Are they like the glass then and able to be used in the rain? Nice looking calls! Hope I get a chance to stop by with some "stuff" for you if I ever have a chance to make down it there

I'm using 3 1/2" for surface...The only downside to using it is the cost, but it's worth it...

Have you ever tired any 3" in a very hard wood pot Yeah, copper is expensive, but I couldn't help but to keep it stocked up this spring. I just turned a copper/cocobolo about an hour ago.

Nope, not yet...I'll have to get a few pieces and make some...I've been trying my hand at some laminates today.I came up with a slate/glass:half applewood & half cedar call,It sounds very sweet,it's like 2 calls in 1...I have a curly maple, cherry and walnut gluing up right now...I'll post some pics later today. I check your site out from time to time and wish I was half as good as you.You do very excellent work!

I check your site out from time to time and wish I was half as good as you.You do very excellent work! Thanks for the compliment, but anyone can make a pretty turkey call. All it takes is practice, but you have to remember that "pretty don't kill turkeys". A guy in Florida asked me if I ever made one that didn't sound good. I had to laugh when I told him occassionally, knowing that I have a full shelf in my garage that is nothing but calls that don't sound good. Last time I checked there was at least 40-45 calls up there. Some of them are things that I tried that didn't work and others are exactly like I make every day (and didn't work). Some of them have been up there for 5 years and some of them for 5 weeks . It is a never ended learning process. Let me know when you get some 3" copper and I will be happy to help you out. A friend helped me out with mine when I couldn't get it to work out and it has really became a great sounding call.....andy
