I would like to get a new striker style turkey call. I have a slate with a plastic striker now, and I am looking for something louder with a nice crisp sound. I am in good shape with my box call and diaphrams as well.

There's some very good call makers that visit this site.
You might experiment with different strikers also. Various striker materials produce different sounds.

I would suggest a Rosewood striker for my first choice. Second would be a hickory striker.

I like the glass calls paired with wooden strikers. Strangely, my slate over glass sounds better to me, but I haven't had as much luck with it as the glass ones. I'm looking forward to trying out the one Dave Powers donated for last years contest that I ended up winning. Thanks again Dave!
