They process deer there? That place is 1 mile away! To think I used to drive 25 minutes to the butcher...

IMHO......My experience with Archers is that they are expensive when it comes to processing deer. I would only use them if I couldn't use anyone else.

Archer's is way out of line as far as price is concerned! They must think they are the only deer processors in Indiana!

They are very expensive and have done very poor work for me. I will never take a deer there again. IMHO......My experience with Archers is that they are expensive when it comes to processing deer. I would only use them if I couldn't use anyone else.

Archers is the worst place I ever took a deer.....Took in a 155 pound dressed buck and only got 35 pounds of meat back?......I dont think so.....Plus their sausage tastes like sawdust!

learn to process them yourself...it is very rewarding and saves you tons of money!! Not hard either. I do mine with nothing but a knife, saran wrap, and zip lock bags. I can do a whole deer in about 3 hours by myself. And that includes grinding a lot of it. If I can some meat... it takes longer. But it's not hard. If anyone ever wants to learn... come help me do one... and I'll teach you as we go. Jabba

I started processing my own this year. I cannot believe I paid someone else to do it all these years. Never again. Starting out it is slow, but worth it.

Between myself and my son, we've taken 12 deer so far this season, learning to do it ourselves has taken some time, but also saves us alot of $$$

Butchering deer is easy with a sharp knife.
