I am looking for private property within 20 minutes of Pendleton, IN to run my coonhounds. I know that most deer hunters are skeptical about hounds running in their woods during deer season. I have coon hunted since I was 7 and deer hunted since my early teens. I have never seen any ill effects of running dogs and disturbing deer or deer movement. That being said I would most definately respect anyones decision if they were only to allow me to run my dogs outisde of deer season. I have included a link at the bottom of the thread that discusses a study that was conducted by University of South Carolina and Clemson on deer movement and raccoon hunting. I think you will find the results interesting. www.dnr.sc.gov/wildlife/publications/pdf/raccoonimpact.pdfHere is another interesting study on Crop Depredation by Wildlife in Indiana. This study was conducted by Purdue University. www.in.gov/dnr/deerhealth/Purdue%20corn%20and%20soybean.pdfProperty and property owners would be treated with the utmost respect. Thanks and look forward to hearing from some of you!

I used to live in Anderson (2 years ago) and had no problems getting permission to trap coons. I am sure they would allow hunting just have to knock on doors.
