Dad told me today about a possible area near Battle Ground, north of 43 and I-65 that could be available to be bowhunted. From the way Dad talked, the guy that owns it has a lot of fir trees planted and is having serious deer damage done to them. I have no idea what the property is like other than that, but it sounds like it is VERY close to I-65, on the east side of the interstate. PM me and I'll get the guy's info passed on to you. Sounds like bowhunt only, and I have no idea how many people he will/would allow on the property. I also do not know if he has already found someone to hunt it. Don't get your hopes up, as it is just a *possibility*.

Very nice of you to try and help someone find a place to hunt danf.
Wish I could find some other places to hunt closer to me. It's getting tough to find a place.

If I lived closer I'd hunt it myself, but I have a hard enough time convincing my wife I need to go to my parents place near Lafayette. Although this place I posted about is less than a mile from my wife's parents....

Those of you who have sent PM's, I'm currently waiting on my father to email me with the guy's info. He is checking with him to make sure it is OK for people to contact him about hunting it. I may have been a little premature posting this. Hope not, and hopefully one or more of you will be able to hunt it. I'd like to cut it off at 5 people so the owner doesn't have a ton of people calling him about hunting. I've got 4 PM's so far....

For those of you who have expressed interest, I'm still trying to make contact with the landowner to see about getting someone on the land to hunt it. I have his contact info, just haven't been able to talk with him yet.

Talked with the landowner yesterday morning. It seems that either the day before or the day after I called the first time and left a message, the guy that has been hunting the ground called him and wanted to hunt it again. Apparently he (the hunter) had been in Alaska and came back for school or something, I'm not sure on the details.
Anyway, the landowner was going to talk with the original hunter and will let me know if there is a possibility of a second (or more) hunter on the property. I have no idea how much property there is, but I can't imagine it being very big. I'll let you all know what happens, if anything.
