Coming to Louisville March 16

Frankfort, KY - The Fourth Annual National Archery in the Schools Tournament is one month away. The tournament will be held March 16 at the International Convention Center in Louisville.
Over 2,400 students representing more than 100 schools from Alabama, Illinois, Missouri, Minnesota, Ohio and across Kentucky will compete. Shooting begins at 9:15 a.m. and ends at 6 p.m. Awards will be presented at the conclusion of the tournament. Members of the U.S. Olympic Archery Team, their team coaches and professional archers will be at the tournament.
Kentucky has more than 450 schools enrolled in the National Archery in the Schools Program as part of their physical education curriculum. In last year's National Archery in the Schools Program Tournament, Kentuckians swept the national championships in the boys, girls and team divisions.
Ashley Rose of Pulaski County High School won the national championship in the girls division and Graham Cofield of Trigg County won the national championship in the boys division. Trigg County swept all three team national awards, claiming the high school, middle school and elementary school national titles.
