This is not a license question. I hunt other parts of the state so I will always purchase a license.
We own farmland that we hunt on occasion. I heard from a guy that I can legally take a deer with a firearm outside of firearm season. I don't know how accurate that is. Any guidance on the laws governing a landowner and his hunting limitations (outside of license purchases).
Thanks, Andy

The only way a landowner can take deer outisde of the season is to obatin a Deer Damage Control Permit. To obtain these you must contact your local wildlife biologist, and you must prove that deer are damaging your property, and he/she will inspect your property and give you his/her opinion. The damage must be in excess of either $500 or $1000 (I forget the amount right now). Any questions on this must be directed to your biologist.
