I know it's the law but why? It seems a little obselete since Director Hupfer is asking us on page one of the guide to take more antlerless deer. The next problem is we need to buy a firearms license to apply for a military hunt in August. If we are lucky enough to take a antlered deer in early archery, and don't get drawn for the military hunt, we are out $24. I know this isn't the complaint department, I just wanted to make sure I understand everything and that my logic is right.

Brian,
If you are successful in taking an antlered deer in archery season and do not get chosen for the military hunt you are only allowed one antler deer per season. So in other words if you have already taken one antlered deer then you may not take a second even if you have already purchased the antlered deer license. ICO Winchell
