I could probably look this up easily, but I'll ask a couple questions anyway.
Do you need a fishing license on a pond / lake on private ground?
Do you need a fishing license once you transport your catch of fish off of private ground?
Do bag limits, length limits, etc. apply once you transport your catch of fish off of private ground?
Thanks

A fishing license is required for all public water, lakes, creeks, streams, reserviors, etc. If it's a private pond, you do not need a fishing license unless that pond contains state-owned (wild) fish by swimming into the pond/private lake due to flooding, a levee or dam breaking, etc. You do not need a fishing license to transport your pond-caught fish to your home. Bag and size limits do not apply to farm/private ponds. If you live on a reservior or river that requires you to have a fishing license, and you are fishing on YOUR property, you are still REEQUIRED to have a fishing license.
See page 39 in this year's fishing regs for further info.
