I recently leased 80 acres in KY for hunting. While checking out the lay of property, i came accross the neighbors treestand on the fence line. It was a tipical hang on stand. Laying on the floor of the stand is/was a young doe's leg, perhaps using it for the torsal gland for the previous hunting season. What bothers me is that, within a few steps of the stand, lays a carcass of a small deer, it couldn't have been their that long, since the carcass's rib cage was still all in tact, minus the head in which i had found just a few steps away from the carcass.
Should i do, or say something to someone about this?
Thanks, Lug

Lugnutz,
If you have reason to believe that someone has illegally taken a deer, then yes contact the conservation officer in the county. Most likely you can reach them by contacted the county Sheriff's Department. They may not be able to make a case on it but they may be able to use the information.
