Welcome aboard ICO Max! What county are you in?
OK, here is my question(s):
If you are drift waterfowling on a river....or creek for that matter...and that waterway passes through a county park, OR town that has a "no dangerous projectile" laws....can you still legally hunt that waterway within those given areas?
More specifically there is a new park in Northern Hamilton Co., that has the White River as one of it's "boundaries" ....so would it still be ok to shoot waterfowl along that stretch? Keeping on the same White River, the city of Noblesville has a "no firing dangerous projectiles" statute, so what about once the river passes into the city limits?
Obviously I'm not talking about hunting in Downtown Noblesville, or next to the picnic area of the park....but rural areas that would be "safe" to hunt and away from people.
Thanks for your time!

Bsutravis,
I spoke with the Hamilton Co. Conservation Officer Dave Crusier about your question. He said that yes, you can hunt in those areas you mentioned as long as you are drifting from a boat and are not tied off to the bank or out on the bank. I have the same issue in my county the Wabash River flows through Terre Haute. The Wabash River is a navigable water way, just as the White River is in Hamilton Co. As long as shooting is not a hazard to homes, buildings or people, then you are all right. I would not allow hunting near the city of Terre Haute or the City Park if it were to be a hazard.
