I have two related questions. 1. Are small rifle primers a legal percussion cap? 2. Is it legal to use a primed case as a primer? I'm just wondering if this system is legal in Indiana. It uses a small rifle/small pistol primer in a 25 ACP case which acts like the Disc in a Disc rifle. It just holds the primer in place. The breechplug still contains a small flash hole and it is impossible to load the powder from the rear. I know it's legal here in Illinois but since I recomended it I figured I'd ask here to make sure it's legal in Indiana. From left to right: The primer end. You can see it doesn't go all the way through. The barrel end. You can see the flash hole. Side view shows the breechplug with case inserted. Sorry for the poor quality pictures. The ignition system is talked about here: www.prbullet.com/hornet.htm

I dont see where it violates any of the requirements to still meet the definition of a muzzleloader, so it would be legal.
