Could you please tell me exactly what code says that a person with a "personal protection" handgun license can't carry a hand gun during bow season? and where this code can be viewed at?The license says that they are good with the exception of carrying on an aircraft, school(as long as you have the proper paper work),work places, etc. So exactly where in the IDNR does it say one may not carry a handgun if they are licensed with a "personnal protection" handgun license?

There is not a law that says a person with a personal protection permit cannot carry a handgun during bow season. There is a law (312 IAC 9-3-4(g) ) that says a person cannot possess a firearm while bowhunting. The law does not keep you from carrying a handgun. It keeps you from bowhunting if you are carrying a handgun.
