Just got my new walk in cooler. Asssembled it yesterday, wired it up today, ran it a little bit, and it works great.
My question is .... What temp setting do you prefer for hanging deer? I had always heard around 40-42F is about right.
Also - Can you recommend a source where I can order some stainless meat hooks for hanging halves and quarters?

I bought a brand new walk in cooler, so I can set the temp anywhere I want. Will check out those hooks.

I am in the market for a small walk-in. Any advise where to look. I'm going to build my own and heavily insulate it. This device ( www.whitetailcooling.com ) controls a window air conditioner to be the source of cooling.

Gamevault.com is where I bought mine. If you want to build your own room, they sell the cooling unit only. This rig is first class and should last my lifetime.

The colder the better, we keep our coolers at ~33*

stiny, sorry it took me so long, but i have been pretty busy (over 500 deer processed so far this year) as theprocessor said 33-34 is wheere you want it, as for walkins, i still have a few for sell, also a tenderizer (cuber) if needed let me know cause it will be hitting e bay soon, also if it is still there i can get you a 2 bay stainless sink form a local grocery store.
