I've seen several recipes or threads where guys talk about Dale's marinade. I actually used to live about 40 minutes from where they make this stuff. One of the BEST marinades out there in my opinion. A little sporty at $5/bottle, but good!
Well, this past summer my mom gives me a bottle of this "Steak Marinade" from dollar general store. Think it cost 1.60 or something. I kid you not it tasted EXACTLY like Dales. If you have a dollar general near you, check it out. Great for venison, pork, chicken, you name it.

yepper ........... that one is listed in alot of recipes. only place locally ive been able to find it is at Krogers................ another comparable product which i use is the "allegro" game tame or reg marinade. products like these are primarily soy based.................the differences being the amount and type of spices used. either way good stuff. this year the "meijers" where i regularly get the "game tame" was out................but had a "hickory" blend available. especially good in mr. nugents recipe for the ham-cheese-swirl meatloaf ! ( kill it and grill it) thanks................now im hungry !! camoham

Thanks Camoham....I'll have to check meijer for that "hickory blend".
Have a bottle of "game tame" in the pantry right now. I do like the spice blend of that stuff.
Like you said...with the soy base, there's little difference from one to the other.
Gotta love kill it /grill it! Good recipies in there!!

Both Dale's and Allegro(a fave of mine) are nearly all soy sauce with a few seasonings added , the flavor of the soy almost cancels them out . I had to stop using both due to my wife's hypertention . Have you tried Kikkoman's Garlic Teryaki marinade yet ? Yum yum !

hey kevin.
completely understand that one...................
la choy makes a "light" soy sauce.............................................trick here with the "light" is that it is LOW SODIUM. (check with a doc first though)
i intentionally use this product when making ground burger jerky out of my jerky gun. Keeps the sodium level down to enjoy more taste (cause i also put "tender quick"/ sodium nitrite/ preservative).
the "light" is much more palatable.....................i love salt (unfortuneatly) but the reg. soy can be "overbearing" in this instance.
just a thought.......
