How long does it take to do an average sized drive 20 feet and 18-20 feet wide with an ATV and blade? Does anyone throw salt with theirs? What about fertilizer or a spray attachment? I am looking at getting one for my lawn care company, doing a little driveway work and oh yeah, play some too ;D

It would all depend on the snow.
Heavy, deep and wet .... or light, dry and not so deep.
It will not clear as fast as a truck but for drives it isnt bad as long as the ATV is big enough to push the load.
I use mine to roll my yard. Spread granular fertilizer and a 10ft boom sprayer. Works well.

30 minutes +/- on the driveway. Depends on depth, texture, working room, stone or pavement. I have 425 CC & have plenty of power & traction to push even the deep stuff.

www.mytscstore.com/detail.asp?pcID=4&paID=1034&sonID=160&page=4&productID=2512I use this sprayer for fence rows, food plots and pasture burns... I did add about 50' of hose and switched out the electrical so i can plug it right into the atv power point, works great. I also mounted it on 3/4" treated plywood and made a hose rack, that way I do not have to use the U bolts to attach it, I just use 2 rachet straps to secure it. I added a couple 1/4 turn ball valves so I can turn off one side of the boom or the other, or isolate an end one then I can turn the spray nozzle kinda sideways and drive right down a fence row. How exactly does that work with pasture burns? Are you spraying something on the fire to accelerate it? I have tried to burn off the underbrush of a thicket several times. But, it is so dense the wind will not help it along. The only thing I can get to burn is the gas I throw down.

That is water. I take some gas and lay a line of it down, then ignite it and burn it in stages. You can tell by the smoke there is just a slight breeze to help it along. I imagine some Pheasant forever guys could help you more, they do some burning. I just have the sprayer with water to make sure it stays in control. You can see that it is burning the under growth and leaving the green. timing is everything, it has to be dry enough to burn, but not so dry that you burn everything. Solohunter

Solo,
I'd love to see a few picture of your sprayer setup on your ATV. The manufacture's models are rather salty!

Overall view, can be on back also. Power point, the switch is there so I can turn the boom sprayers on and off. When using the wand it is on and maintains the pressure. Hose rack and red straps is where I put the rachet strap to secure it,other side too. Isolation valve, if off only left side sprayer is working, open, both. This year I am going to extend the left side boom out approx. 1'. It(the spray) does "clear'' the tire, but I want it out there a tad more. When both sprayers are on I get a pretty good swath, in my food plots I pull forward and back out. I feel I can monitor the overlap better that way. Hope this helps. Solohunter

Awesome idea Solo! Thanks for the pics. I will take your idea and use it when I construct my sprayer!
