Just curious if anyone has any experiance with the Kubota RTV's? I am looking at new utility vehicles.... and was just curious to see if anyone had any experience with this one or others they would reccommend. Being able to get up and down hill is a must here in Southern IN... so not real sure what would be my best option... Thanks Kevin

Kawasaki mule - worst ever unless you are on flat ground.
Polaris ranger - out works most compact trucks I've been in. Power to spare.

I've always heard the kubota is very good. Those mules have no power and they vapor lock when you are about 3 miles from nowhere. My buddy has one and wishes he didn't

We were looking at the Kubota's a couple of years ago at my old job. They were the best for what we would have used them for (moving a LOT of rock in a new nature park), aside from a Bobcat ToolCat. I doubt you need a ToolCat (they are ~$35k new!), so the Kubota is certainly a good option if you want something with a steering wheel and a couple of seats. My nieghbor has one, but we don't live in the south!

One farm I hunt has a couple of mules and it is very hilly in areas. Those mules stick hills that I could never imagine! I haven't seen any drawbacks to them yet...

Well after having it for a little less than a week, I would say it is just awesome... it can take hills with no real issues in 4WD low... and you are up and over.... I have several here on my property and it seems to be up to the challange... The one thing I plan to do is change the wheels and certainly the tires... the stock one are OK but I think you can unlock it's full potential with making that modification. It was a little more pricey than some of the others... but I hope in the long run it will be the right choice... Here in the next few months it will get a full field test as hunting season is upon us.
