Have any of you everf gotten a dog from a dog company that uses them for testing food and then sells them. They are pedigree and have papers. I got one from Puriena Dog Chow near Washington Missouri. It was an English Setter, four months old and it was scare of its shadow. But after raising it with my Springer Spaniels which I trained myself, it turnout to be a great pointing bird dog, even though my springer were flushers. The one thing that good old Mississippi Zeb was not afraid of was the water. He was a super dog. I gave him to a man in California, MO. when I had to move to the city. He hunted him hard every weekend just about, and use him for stud service. He is long gone by now, but you could put a steak or his favorite food in front of him and he would rather hunt. Has anyone else had a setter that liked water, or got a dog from Puriena, He did cost 40 dollars, which was a deal. ;D
