This afternoon myself, Kyle, Tony, Tony, Rusty, and.....the other guy Coby is it.....went out for a late afternoon dove hunt. With the final quarter of the Colts game playing in my headphones we began slinging lead like Gander was giving away cases of shells by the truckload. It was a good day....I think we ended up with 17 recovered birds (some weren't seen in the photo cause a couple guys went home before we took pics)....we lost a few birds to the soybean field, but all in all did a pretty decent job.
A special day regardless of how many were killed as Kyle's lab made her first official retrieve! Pepper did a great job getting after the dropping birds and her working the field was fun to watch. The following pic is Kyle coaxing Pepper to release her first mouth full of feathers!
