Gee, wouldn't this kind of be your own decision to make? Dove hunting is legal in this state, but you have to live with your family.

Your dad is right, all creatures are gods creatures, BUT, here is what god says about those creatures.
Acts 10:10-15
10And he became very hungry, and would have eaten: but while they made ready, he fell into a trance,
11And saw heaven opened, and a certain vessel descending upon him, as it had been a great sheet knit at the four corners, and let down to the earth:
12Wherein were [glow=red,2,300]all manner[/glow] of fourfooted beasts of the earth, and wild beasts, and creeping things, [glow=red,2,300]and fowls of the air.[/glow]
[glow=red,2,300]13And there came a voice to him, Rise, Peter; kill, and eat.[/glow]
14But Peter said, Not so, Lord; for I have never eaten any thing that is common or unclean.
15And the voice spake unto him again the second time, What God hath cleansed, that call not thou common.
Next time the subject comes up go get your bible.

I was thinking of the same verses, but I couldn't remember the book for the life of me.

How does he feel about hunting anything? Does he know 80% of he doves die each year hunted or not? How about lamb? Does he think lamb should be eaten? How many pictures of Christ do you see with him and a lamb in his arms? I would be willing to bet when Christ was on this earth as a man , he ate lamb? I have the same problem with my mother and I just dont talk about it around her for my respect for her. As said before all animals and man belong to God. Just don't waste anything you kill. Don't want it don't kill it! Now there are animals that must be removed because of damage being make, so there is a reason for the taking of them ,just don't kill for the FUN of killing. If you like the name SPORTSMAN it will become you to follow this thinking. Good luck with your father & grandfather! Charlie

Let'em try a dove popper. two breasts marinated in italian dressing, sandwiched around a jalepeno pepper slice, wrapped in bacon, grilled til the bacon is done. HOOOOO doggy, they'll be rushing to get all the birds of peace they can find!!!!!

Your post shows concern & respect for your dad & grandpa's opinions, which is great. But, this is a decision that only "you" can make as a young sportsman. It is similar to the way some folks feel about hunting on Sundays. Good luck.
