Where is the best place to hunt wild birds in Indiana on public land? U.P is the best place ive ever found to bird hunt but its a bit far. Id like to find some public land closer to home. I dont want your secret spot just some general area. Thanks, h.h.

There are some spots at Mongo, east of Hwy 3 that will hold birds all season---think cover next to Pine Trees. Cedar Swamp will hold birds but it gets hammered.

Put-n-take are the best you can do up north on public land or you will need a good dog and a good pair of boots.
