I planted chicory and clover this past spring , too much chicory and some grass n weeds , but it looks good. On two sides I planted BFO with some winter greens and a bigger patch of winter greens on the back side.
Deer are mowing the winter greens down. Hope there are some left on 11/17. I plan on sitting in the heated tower stand with the new T/C.
How are everyones plots doing? Are the deer in them yet?

My clover and chicory aren't doing so well, but the shot plot brassicas are being torn up. The first evening I hunted over it I had 13 does and fawns in it. One nice 8 point, that I took a shot at, was the first out in the field. All were in the turnips, and I only have about a 1/4 of an acre of the shot plot. Think I'll plant some more of it next year.

I will try to get so photos of mine soon. My little sister and her family are coming in town this weekend. Her husband will take my dad's quad and run all through my plot when he is here. This always es me off , but I'll vent to you guys instead of him. Bill

Just take the keys out and claim you lost them. Or the spark plug wire...

We planted 3 spots this year (first year for them). they have come in nicely, now just have to get the deer to figure it out. The brassiacs get hit a bit, but I understand they will lean towards it more after the rest of the food sources have gone, corn, beans, acorns.
