It's been fun....Wouldn't want to cut and clear several acres by hand though !

Nice set-up. Plenty of treestand size trees on the perimeter.

Actually I have no intention of hunting over it. That pile of brush in the upper left of the last picture is a ground blind in the making for my son. I'm mainly trying to give the deer and Turks a reason to come to my land and stay there longer. As it stands right now my land has nothing more to offer than the land on either side of me.

I hear you on that!
That's why I started my thread on "food plot plantings". I'm hoping to keep them on my little slice of land longer too!
What is planted on yours?

mainly biologic stuff that a friend found on clearance at Wally world. Hard to tell from the pictures, but it's shaped somehwat like a light bulb with the biologic planted in the long narrow part. The rest is a mixture of clovers from a local seed co-op.
I hand cleared it, burned off the leaves, raked it, then rode doughnuts with my 4 wheeler to loosen the soil, added 131313 fert, then seeded it ! It has been fun to see what will happen. I own 30 acres all wooded and it's part of a huge span of continous woods. So mine is no more attractive than the next guys and I'm just trying to change that. Got other plans also with some timber cutting and that kind of thing.
