He went much sooner than we would have ever thought 
. He had gotten loose and was out on a run it wasn't his first time he had gotten loose before usually would take a 45 min to an hour run and be back home. After a couple hours I started worrying I took many trips following his usual routes and never saw him.
About 3:00am we got a phone call my wife answered at first I thought by the way she was talking he was just in someone's yard and they called to let us no they had him. But then she started crying and I knew that wasn't the case someone had hit him. I went to get him it was the wierdest feeling I have ever had when I pulled up to get him. I didn't cry when I put him in the back of the truck the same truck he used to jump into.
But as soon as I got away from the house I pulled over and broke down crying I loved that dog,yeah there were so many times that he would chew up this or that and as a puppy he ruined our carpet dozen's of times but we still decided to make him a house dog. And maybe that is why we loved this dog so much. I couldn't tell you the number of times I would wake up in the middle of the night with an 85lb Lab across my leg's,and I can't even begin to tell you how much I will miss that.
I loved my dog and I'm man enough to say it. We love you Remington

! He will continue to be with you in spirit when you see other Labs & when you are in places that were special to you & him. Time to get you another pup to help fill the void left by your dear fried. Man's best friend for sure....
