Text for the Day -- Psalm 51:3-10 ---------- For I know my transgressions, and my sin is ever before me. Against you, you alone, have I sinned, and done what is evil in your sight, so that you are justified in your sentence and blameless when you pass judgement. Indeed, I was born guilty, a sinner when my mother conceived me.
You desire truth in the inward being; therefore teach me wisdom in my secret heart. Purge me with hyssop, and I shall be clean; wash me, and I shall be whiter than snow. Let me hear joy and gladness; let the bones that you have crushed rejoice. Hide your face from my sins, and blot out all my iniquities.
Create in me a clean heart, O God, and put a new and right spirit within me.
Devotional ---------- Lent, as practiced in the church, is a season of reflection. Lent provides an opportunity to examine your life so that you are aware of the ways in which you are blocking out God or ignoring God's direction for your life. In Lent you are called to locate those places in your life where you need more freedom, more joy and more peace in the grace of God.
Prayer ----------------- O Lord, guide my reflection in the days ahead so that I may find a deeper peace in you. Amen

Woody, I just got a scare, I didn't get to go to church yesterday, because of a sore throat and I got on here this morning and didn't see the Spiritual Forum. I had just over-looked it thank goodness. I had noticed that a lot of people don't respond to your posts and thought maybe you thought it was not worth keeping it up. Thankfully, I was wrong. Maybe not everyone thinks this forum is important but I certainly do! Without my Spiritual life the rest of my life would be useless. I have tried it the other way and it just doesn't work for me. I still hunted, fished and camped but I was missing out on the most important part of it all. I was missing the wonder and beauty of it all! Now no matter what I'm doing I realize without the wonderful creations of GOD it would all be pointless. Anyway, thanks for all that you do. I for one Greatly Appreciate it. May GOD Bless You and Yours, Jack M. Low
