Text for the Day -- Psalm 47:1-7

Clap your hands, all you peoples;
shout to God with loud songs of joy.
For the LORD, the Most High, is awesome,
a great king over all the earth.
He subdued peoples under us,
and nations under our feet.
He chose our heritage for us,
the pride of Jacob whom he loves.Selah

God has gone up with a shout,
the LORD with the sound of a trumpet.
Sing praises to God, sing praises;
sing praises to our King, sing praises.
For God is the king of all the earth;
sing praises with a psalm.

Devotional

Praising God changes us. Praise is a vehicle giving expression to
gratitude and a sense of awe to the Creator and Savior of our lives.
Praise can lift our spirits and help us focus on what we have by
faith, and not what is happening by sight. We have an awesome God who
undergirds our lives. Let daily praise lift your heart and your
vision as you realize in a fresh way how much you have in God's love
for your life.
