Text for the Day -- Luke 5:29-32

Then Levi gave a great banquet for him in his house; and there was a
large crowd of tax-collectors and others sitting at the table with
them. The Pharisees and their scribes were complaining to his
disciples, saying, "Why do you eat and drink with tax-collectors and
sinners?" Jesus answered, "Those who are well have no need of a
physician, but those who are sick; I have come to call not the
righteous but sinners to repentance."

The theme for the devotionals this week is grace. This is the basic
theme that runs through Scripture. You see, it's all about God. God
offers grace to all. It is invitational in the person of Jesus.
Jesus' presence and acts of mercy are signs of God's loving nature
embracing a fallen world. God says come, no matter who you are. I
will forgive you, I will heal you. Receive my word of healing and
grace.

Holy Spirit, help me always see and hear God's invitation to receive
grace. Amen
