Text for the Day -- Psalm 105:1-6, 42

O give thanks to the LORD, call on his name,
make known his deeds among the peoples.
Sing to him, sing praises to him;
tell of all his wonderful works.
Glory in his holy name;
let the hearts of those who seek the LORD rejoice.
Seek the LORD and his strength;
seek his presence continually.
Remember the wonderful works he has done,
his miracles, and the judgments he has uttered,
O offspring of his servant Abraham,
children of Jacob, his chosen ones.
For he remembered his holy promise,
and Abraham, his servant.
Devotional

Israel had an obligation. They were to witness before the world to
the mighty deeds of God in delivering, protecting and blessing his
people and the world. This psalm calls on God's people to remember
and to bear witness. God is lifted up as a promise keeper in this
psalm. These words are a challenge to all of us. We do have a story
of God's faithfulness to remember and share.
Prayer

Give my heart courage to believe in your wondrous works, Lord, and to
share them with others. Amen
