Text for the Day -- Psalm 38:1-4, 21-22

O LORD, do not rebuke me in your anger,
or discipline me in your wrath.
For your arrows have sunk into me,
and your hand has come down on me.
There is no soundness in my flesh
because of your indignation;
there is no health in my bones
because of my sin.
For my iniquities have gone over my head;
they weigh like a burden too heavy for me.
Do not forsake me, O LORD;
O my God, do not be far from me;
Make haste to help me,
O LORD, my salvation.
Devotional

When things are going bad or you are suffering some illness, to whom
do you turn? Is it a friend, your doctor, your pastor or a spouse?
Or, do you keep it all to yourself? When do you think of turning to
God? The psalmist is quick to turn to God. He lays his life open to
God and prays fervently for healing. God is our ultimate healer.

Heal my life today, Lord, and strengthen me in my journey. Amen
