Just one more week plus one sleepless night and IT will be here! I don't care if it's 90 degrees in the shade at 6 am, I'll be out there soaking up the fresh air, enjoying natures show and dreaming of the big one! ![:D](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/grin.png)

I think it is great that you are so fired up for the opener. I too am looking forward to October 1st for the first time in many years, but my reasons may or may not be the same. I am lookign forward to the challenge, frustration, and learning that will result from chasing the wild turkey this fall. I do not enjoy sitting in a deer stand during early Oct., swattin bugs and sweating up a storm. Of course, I can still be persuaded to put on an early archery deer drive. This has become an annual event for my father-in-law and myself. For those of you who think two person drives with archery equipment is impossible....then its obvious that you have not tried it. Oh well, it is the best kept secret, or at least it was! Good luck to you Trapperdave!!!

I'll be glad when they open up turkey season here in Hancock co. where I hunt. They come thru my woods occasionally.
