Text for the Day -- Psalm 94:16-19

Who rises up for me against the wicked?
Who stands up for me against evildoers?
If the LORD had not been my help,
my soul would soon have lived in the land of silence.
When I thought, "My foot is slipping,"
your steadfast love, O LORD, held me up.
When the cares of my heart are many,
your consolations cheer my soul.
Devotional

Is anybody there for you? Do you have any source of comfort and
strength beyond yourself? This is something we do need. The psalmist
rejoices that God is there for him. If God had not been there for the
psalmist, he feels he would not have survived. The great message of
hope in Christianity is that God has consolations to carry you
through your struggles. Bring your needs to God who can heal your
life.

Today I turn to you, gracious God, to be my consolation and my
strength. Amen
