Text for the Day -- Isaiah 33:10-13

'Now I will arise,' says the Lord,
'now I will lift myself up;
now I will be exalted.
You conceive chaff, you bring forth stubble;
your breath is a fire that will consume you.
And the peoples will be as if burned to lime,
like thorns cut down, that are burned in the fire.'
Hear, you who are far away, what I have done;
and you who are near, acknowledge my might.
Devotional

God will bring judgment to both those within and those without. To
belong to the people of God does not exempt us from obedience to what
we have been called to be by God. God's choosing of us is not just a
privilege, but also a responsibility. It is easy to forget that. That
is why we need to pay attention to our relationship with God every
day.
Prayer

Bless each day with your call to me for friendship and intimacy
through prayer, gracious God. Amen
