Text for the Day -- John 14:26-27

But the Advocate, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my
name, will teach you everything, and remind you of all that I have
said to you. Peace I leave with you; my peace I give to you. I do not
give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled,
and do not let them be afraid.
Devotional

Jesus promises that his presence will be with us always through the
Holy Spirit whom God will send to us. The Holy Spirit will bring to
mind the teachings of Jesus, those we have through the Scriptures.
Jesus said to the disciples that his leaving should not be mourned,
because he will provide a peace in which to live and be sustained.
Jesus' gift of peace can lift your fear and unite you with God. Trust
the gift of that peace.

Thank you, Lord, for the gift of peace that passes understanding.
