Text for the Day -- John 3:14-17

And just as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, so must
the Son of Man be lifted up, that whoever believes in him may have
eternal life.
For God so loved the world that he gave his only Son, so that
everyone who believes in him may not perish but may have eternal
life.
Indeed, God did not send the Son into the world to condemn the world,
but in order that the world might be saved through him.
Devotional

These verses are a core summary of the revelation of the heart of
God. At the core, God is love. This love is not just liking or
enjoying. This love acts on behalf of others. God so loved that God
acted to provide the gift of salvation through Jesus. Jesus came, not
to condemn, but to save. Trust that word and you will have life now
and forever.
Prayer

Strengthen my trust in your love for me, O Lord. Amen
