Text for the Day -- Psalm 105:1-6

O give thanks to the Lord, call on his name,
make known his deeds among the peoples.
Sing to him, sing praises to him;
tell of all his wonderful works.
Glory in his holy name;
let the hearts of those who seek the Lord rejoice.
Seek the Lord and his strength;
seek his presence continually.
Remember the wonderful works he has done,
his miracles, and the judgements he has uttered,
O offspring of his servant Abraham,
children of Jacob, his chosen ones.
Devotional

Where does the desire to praise God come from? These verses describe
a consciousness that is able to recognize God's works of grace in the
lives of God's people. The encouragement here is to constantly seek
the Lord's presence and remember the Lord's goodness. It is easy to
be caught seeing only the downside of life and allowing yourself to
fall into the pit of negativity. Notice and remember how much grace
and mercy you have received from God.

Open my eyes to behold your grace and speak your praise, gracious
God. Amen
