Text for the Day -- Psalm 5:1-3

Give ear to my words, O LORD;
give heed to my sighing.
Listen to the sound of my cry,
my King and my God,
for to you I pray.
O LORD, in the morning you hear my voice;
in the morning I plead my case to you, and watch.
Devotional

Where do you go to share your pain, your fears, your struggles?
Hopefully you have a friend, spouse or spiritual director to share
with. The ultimate friend is God. God is patient and listens. God
cares. The psalmist points us to the one who is faithful in listening
to our needs. God calls us to trust God's listening ear and God's
power to help.

Give me courage to trust that you desire to hear me, O Lord. Amen
