I have been fishing a pond with chicken livers for catfish and have been having great luck. However I have also been catching a lot of big hybrid bluegills on the chicken livers. These hybrids have big mouths and can get a 2/0 hook with a glob of liver in their mouths, and they are not Warmouths/Goggleyes. They look more like a cross between bluegills and redears/shellcrackers.
Has anyone else ever caught bluegills on chicken livers?
This is the first time I have ever done it and I have never heard of this before. I'm just curious to hear what you guys think and if you have had similar experiences.

A buddy of mine has a 4 acre pond stocked with hybrids and it is not unheard of to catch a 2 pounder when catfishing with chicken livers.

Sounds like some of those "Ken's fish farm" hybrids from Georgia.

I don't know the exact hybrid, but they taste even better than the catfish I am after!

When those hybrids are hitting, they'll bite about anything. Caught some in my pond last week on rubber worms. Also have caught them on those baby smoky links.

I have caught some confirmed Georgia Giants before on 6" rubber worms while bass fishing at another pond. They looked like 14 inch skillets with fins! These that I am catching on the livers don't look the same though. They have more speckles on the sides like redears (shellcrackers).

Where can one find these Georgia Giants?
I've got some big black crappie in my pond (Grandpa has fished all over for crappie and the ones in my pond are some of the biggest he's seen!), and a bunch of stunted largemouth, but that's it. I'd like to get some panfish in there too, and if I can get some that get big, all the better!

There was a fish farm truck that used to stop in Washington once or twice a year when we had a Big Blue and sell the bluegills (and bass and catfish) in the parking lot. I don't know where they were from or if they still come around anymore.
