Just got done cleaning 93 whopper gills and red ear my buddy and I caught at a pit near Dugger yesterday and this morning. Action was fast & furious for a while. Had a few of the gills that measured over 10". They were dandy's !

We went to Catarack(sp?) on Saturday and had a pretty good day. We (my son and I) caught over 80 Crappie and one really nice channel cat. We brought home 24 crappie over 10 inches and the cat and let them all go in the pond accross the street!
we got plenty of fillets in the freezer

Congrats! I took the daughter & son-in-law Saturday. They snagged 79 nice gils while I hooked & released about ten 2-4 lb. largemouth. Great day on the water!

This is prime fishing time. Can't understand fellas that only hunt and don't ever fish. Missing 50% of the total outdoor experience.

I went to my secret honey hole on Saturday morning. I was primarily fishing for cats and gills, but didn't have any luck. I did catch 15 bass in about 20 minutes tho. Bass fishing sucks at this pond. You can catch them left and right, but they are all between 13" and 16". Not a whole lot of fun to catch, and I don't keep bass for the frying pan. I never thought I would say this, but catching too many bass, too easily can get boring.

Hawkeye - If you don't mind a bit of a drive, run down to the Greene Sullivan state forest southwest of Linton. Must be 40 lakes or more in there, trolling motor or oars only, and many of them are great fishing. You can rent a boat at Minners bait shop in Linton, or Dirty Harry's bait shop south of Dugger. Another good options is Shakamak state park which has three lakes near Jasonville. They rent boats there too.

We went to our conservation club yesterday (Saturday) and again caught som REAL NICE gills. I just got a 14ft flat bottom and we took it. It was alot better than fishing from the 10 footer that we have at the club!
I'll get it registered this week and then, look out eagle creek!
I still have my Bayliner for big water!
