Has anyone else been off to a stellar start this year? There has only been one time where I didn't catch anything! I have caught bullheads, channel cats, largemouth, rock bass, bluegill, and crappie and the season is still young. I don't remember catching so many fish in a long time. Anyone else killing them, like this?

I've been knocking the tar out of the panfish every trip. Getting some dandy bluegill, red ear and crappie. Caught 9 giant red ear in about an hour Friday afternoon. The largest measured 10", no doubt he was over a pound.
This heat will probably slow things down a bit. Getting the itch for some frog gigging and cat fishing too.

I've also been having a pretty good year. I just need to save some of this "luck" for deer season! :-)

Found some nice hybrid striped bass at Hardy Lake over the weekend. My buddy gave me the heads up when he caught 4 on Saturday. Not one was under 4 lbs. Caught them on chicken livers fishing for catfish.

I agree, it's been a good year so far. If this weather would moderate I think it would be even better!
