My buddy and I just got done cleaning fish. Brought back 58 good bluegills and redears, and 10 good crappie from Saturday and this morning outing at the strip mine pits near Linton & Dugger.
Had to work hard to find them, but wound up with a nice mess of fish. Fish fry next weekend!

There's more to life than chasing whitetails Woody. A well rounded, Indiana redneck needs to be versed in all of the available outdoor pursuits. You can't beat April & May pan fishing. It's the best time of year for it. I'd rather catch a 10" bluegill or 14" crappie, than a 5# largemouth any day. Plus, they eat great!
When she starts warming up a bit, I'll get after those river catfish and do some frog gigging.
Actually, my neightbor knocks the tar out of the fish in October every year when I'm deer hunting. That is a great time to fish too, however I'm always up a tree.
