How do you camp?
Motor home
Travel trailer - fifth wheel hitch
Travel trailer - ball hitch
Pop-up camper
Large family style tent - sleeps 3 or more people
Small tent - sleeps two people tops
Tarp - Hey, I like bugs!
Under the stars - A little rain never hurt anybody
I don't camp
To us, the Holiday Inn is camping

I go for the bigger family style tent. Two man tents tend to be one man tents when I occupy them. I guess I have a bit of a "nutritional gift."

I've got a huge tent that will sleep 8 people....with a ceiling that I can stand up in without ducking my head and I'm 6'3". I camp w/ that unless the weather is gonna be crappy....then I just go borrow my Grandpa's motorhome and "rough it" the easy way.

I like all types of camping. I've got a 14 x 16 canvas wall tent for cool weather hunting and camping. A small backpacking tent for a quick over nighter. If the bugs aren't out and the weather is decent, I don't mind just sleeping under the stars or in the pick-up topper either. Have spent many nights in campers of various types too, and don't have a problem with that, however they limit some of the places you can go to.
My preference is to go fairly primitive, during cool weather, and get away from people. Setting up the camper in a state park 30' from your neighbor and buying a bundle of wood for $5.00 doesn't much resemble camping in my opinion.

I have an 8 man tent that goes deer hunting with me every season. I like the primative style camping. When I was a kid it was just camping. Oh it is Cabelas Alaskan Guide Model. Works great. If I could just cure HH from snoring I would have it made. Really though it just wouldn't be deer camp without a tent to sleep in.

schoolmaster,
i think ive talked your brother into coming up from Florida for the opening of muzzleloader season. as you know his style of primitive camping is a holiday inn express. i imagine if he comes we will be in my camper. he said he would take Friday and Monday off so we could hunt all day on Sunday. h.h.

HH Yeah I know. When we were kids we camped under the stars at the river. But he is getting soft in his old age. Check thdates the season is late this year. If you are going to stay on Sun. I might be able to take Monday off also.
