Yeah, that's a great trip! Gonna take the grandkids on the short one in July. Some really good smallmouth fishing on that stretch.

Looking forward to pics of the July float. That is of course if you have free hands for the camera, & it does'nt get broken, or drowned by the yardapes, ooops I mean grandyoungin's. ;D

We'll post 'em up deertracks, barring any of the aforementioned equipment disasters of course.
P.S. Pray for low water!

Eddie- that is an old mill south of Crawfordsville. It's in a little 'burg called Yountsville, you went past it right after you went under 32, right?
The mill is actually for sale, the last I knew. The owners used to host an arts and crafts fair there in the fall, my wife exhibited once a couple of years ago.
Those are nice pics. I'm really wishing this weekend that I could get out on Big Walnut to beat the heat, but no can do, especially with a (almost) 3-week old on my left arm as I type this! There's a LOT less traffic on Big Walnut than Sugar, and it's just as close to me...
Next time any of you hit Sugar Creek, let me know- I only live 20 minutes or so from the put-in in C'ville.

Sorry danf I didn't see your post there. Yes that is the old mill just south of Crawfordsville. I'll give you a ring if we make it back. I like the cfs to be over 1000 but can make due with 500.

Great pix - looks like it was fun.
Reminds me of a couple years ago when me the wife 3 kids and 3 dogs went from Delphi to Terre Haute on the Wabash in our boat. Spent 4 days on the water camping on sand bars in the middle of the river so the 3 dogs could run free. Kids had a blast. Next trip we hope to go down the Illinois River a hundred miles to St Louis in canoes. Don't know if I will get the wife to go on that one.
