Anybody ever have to use it?
I emailed them last night, got a reply back today. My multi-tool has two broken screwdriver blades and I was wanting new ones. The email I recieved said they do not sell/send new blades in the mail do to various liability reasons and I would need to send it in. Expected turn-around is 3-5 weeks!
I use the tool on a daily basis, and I can't see being without it for 3 weeks, let alone 5.... Arrrrrrrgh. Wish someone had been at the Gerber desk in Smokey Mountain Knife Works when we were there in Feburary.....
Just wondering what anyone else's experience has been. I'll probably send it in, I just hate to be without it for so long.

Had a letherman saw blade break and they did the same. I had to send it in and they replaced the bade. I got it back faster then what they estimated so maybe Gerber will do the same.
I was lost for the few weeks I didn't have it!!!

I carry and use a Leatherman on a daily basis so when mine broke and needed to be sent in I purchased another of the same model to get me through because I think it was supposedly a 4 to 6 week turnaround although I don't think it's ever been more than 2 weeks. Now I have two so when one breaks I just send it in and use the other. When the repaired one comes back I just stick it in the drawer until the one I'm carrying breaks then start the cycle all over again. So far I've sent one in twice and the other once.

Just kidding that was my turn around time too.

I'm thinking about asking them for a "loaner".
Car dealerships do it, why not Gerber??? ;D ;D
