May have the opportunity to hunt some different property this year, so I'm definitely thinking about purchasing a range finder.
Wanted to see what everyone was using, what are you likes/dislikes regarding certain brands.
Right now I'm looking at a Yardage pro sport. Main use will be bow, and muzzleloader. Don't do any long range rifle hunting so the long range distances are not a concern.

Bushnell. Small, comfortable eye relief, lanyard & padded pouch, quick & easy to use & read, accurate for both short & long yardage.

i had a bushnell compact 800 and it got wet one day last year in late archery when i was hunting. sent it back to them to repair it and they sent me and estimate for 240 bucks and you can buy it for 270. so much for being waterproof. so im going to just let them keep it and get a nikon 440.

I've got that simple little Bushnell, supposed to be good for 400 yards. It will work 6-800 yards also, if it's a clear day and you are shooting a distinctly contrasting item with it.

I've got the simple Bushnell. It works fine for bowhunting and serves its purpose well for me. I'd like a higher quality one, but just can't justify it when the Bushnell does what it is supposed to do for me.

It is spot on as far as I want to shoot. I have a bad habit of taking my rangefinder out of my pack and hanging it on my stand to be readily accesible. Well, that is not bad BUT....I forgot it one evening and left it hanging. It rained cats and dogs that night. It is NOT water proof at all. The next day it appeared shot. I brought it in the house and opened it up as best I could and let it dry out. Two days later it was as good as new. YMMV, but Im like dec - it works for me.. .
